Things Are Heating Up!

As I have mentioned before, aside from doing the solo acoustic shows, I am now in a full band called Five Turn Knot. We are going full steam ahead and have a pretty rockin setlist. We play everything from Motley Crue to David Allan Coe and we put on a high energy show. We are currently booking for the Spring and Summer so keep checking this page for dates. I am also in a trio called...well we still havent decided on a name other than the Dave Baker Trio. We have been rehearsing regularly and are putting together a setlist of some pretty awesome songs. We are also booking dates beginning in April so keep checking back for updates.

Update!!!

As mentioned before, I am currently in a band formerly known as Precious Addiction and now known as Five Turn Knot. We have had a couple of performances and are getting tighter and tighter. I am also in a trio called....well, we do not have a name yet but we are pretty dang good. The trio includes myself, Jay Pelzer (Shaman's Harvest, Copperview) and Tom Reichart (Bobby Showers Band, Mick Byrd and many more). We have big plans for the summer including tour the vast midwest! Back Again

Welcome back everyone. I have had yet another hiatus and have returned to give you the updates. I have been very busy with music these days. I am playing a few venues and hoping to add a couple more. I am hopeful to break into the Columbia market soon and possibly the lake. My debut CD should be available soon and I hope you enjoy it. It is comprised of 11 tracks, all of which are acoustic, some originals and some covers. Please come out to a show near you and say "hi."
I am also proud to announce a new musical avenue I am pursuing...I am in a band called Precious Addiction. We have been rehearsing and are hoping to begin playing some dates later this summer. Debut CD Coming Soon!!!!!!!!

That's right! I just returned home from an eventful weekend in Oklahoma City. I got to celebrate my mother's one year anniversary on receiving her liver transplant, which was the highlight of the weekend. Secondly, I began recording my first album. It was a great experience, nerve-wracking as hell, but a great experience! I am heading back down in a couple weeks to hopefully finish up recording at The Music Group Studios and get the ball rolling on its completion. The album will consist of a few originals and a few covers. I hope to have it for purchase early next year.

Upcoming Show

For those of you who have no Halloween parties to attend or kids to take trick or treating please come out to Prison Brews on Saturday. We had a great crowd last weekend and I hope to duplicate the rowdiness! I would like to tell you that I am going to dress up as something but I will be in normal garb. I hope to see you all there!

Yes...I am Still Alive

Sorry for the long delay. "Test, test. Is anyone out there?" I have continued to play at the Summit Lake Winery every Tuesday night from 5-8. We have had some great turnouts and made some new friends. As soon as the weather gets a little warmer I will be playing outside on the patio. These evenings can make for some wild times and worse hangovers! I hope to see you all there!

I am going to try and put some songs I have recorded at the winery up on this site if I can figure it out. I will also try and be more current on my posts.

Quick Update

I haven't posted here in a while and I figured I needed to update everyone on any changes. I have been adding some new songs lately and want to again extend an invitation to the Summit Lake Winery every Tuesday night from 5-8. July 4th

I had a pretty good show Tuesday night at the Summit Lake Winery in Holts Summit. It started out a little slow but picked up toward the end. I would like to encourage everyone to come out and relax on Tuesday Nights from 5-8pm at the Summit Lake Winery in Holts Summit. They have pretty reasonable drink prices and have added some new items to their menu. I tried the Meatball Wrap and it was wonderful. I highly recommend.

I would also like to encourage you to come out to the winery on July 4th. I will be playing from 8-11pm. That's right! Smack dab in the middle of the fireworks! With one of the best views of the fireworks display in town, Friday promises to be a real HOOT! Hope to see everyone there!

By very little popular demand I have decided to start a website for my booming music career! I currently play in and around the Central Missouri area.
